I cannot build BRIT on my own and need the financial support of corporations committed to social responsibility and high net worth individuals that believe in the BRIT vision and ethos. The public, young people, charities and leaders support the creation of BRIT and want the Centre up and running as soon as possible. This is a call for capital investors and now is the time I am asking Pledge Partners to start investing in BRIT and our work with young people.
Why invest in BRIT?
Given the multiple demands faced by corporations, why should they invest in BRIT? This is an opportunity to become a part of an organisation that will reshape the lives of young people. BRIT is new, innovative and visionary in our approach. We are not about duplicating efforts; instead BRIT focuses on inspiring young people, between 16-25 years of age that are facing adversity. Working together with charity partners BRIT will help young people develop self-belief and begin moving forward with their lives. Hundreds of thousands of young people fall into this area. Many of them will fall through the gaps in society and never live up to their potential without the intervention of BRIT. We will inspire generations of young people to achieve and live productive lives, giving back to society and future generations.
For corporations and high net worth individuals that are committed to being socially responsible, BRIT is an opportunity to have a major impact on the lives of young people that are often marginalized and overlooked in society. So often people just need a bit of help to turn their lives around and then they can move on and do incredible things. When you were growing up was there someone that believed in you, maybe at a time when you didn’t believe in yourself? Did that person’s belief inspire you to move on? Now it’s your chance to return that.
Investing in BRIT is investing in our young people. I work with no overheads and BRIT employs one member of staff. I rely on goodwill, belief in what I stand for and creating a social investment legacy for charities and for young people in every area of the country.
How much?
BRIT is asking for corporations and individuals to join the BRIT Social Investment Legacy Pledge which is securing funds from donors to build the BRIT Centre in West Sussex. Every donor, including corporations and their staff will be part of the BRIT Journey to inspire young people facing adversity. The capital cost of the BRIT Centre is being raised through offering 1000 BRIT Capital Social Investment Legacy Pledges. Each pledge is for £10,000 and BRIT partners can pledge once or as many times as they want. Pledge Partners can decide on pledging in this or the next fiscal year to ensure the pledge to BRIT works for them and fits with the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy.

When you donate to the Capital Pledge to build BRIT you will be gifted two plaques-one for your own use, and the other will be on display in a public area of the BRIT Centre carrying the name of the donor (corporation or individual). We want to recognise your help in bringing the BRIT Centre to reality. BRIT Capital Pledge Partners will be entitled to carry the BRIT logo on their websites and literature. In addition, BRIT Capital Pledge Partners will be invited to the BRIT Centre for events attended by selected other BRIT Capital Pledge Partners and BRIT Mentors.
