The last few weeks I’ve been encouraging people to get involved with BRIT by blogging to the public about how they can support BRIT by registering on our webpage and my twitter account. This public display of support shows corporations that the public believes in our mission to help young people facing adversity regain their self-belief. In addition, I’ve also used my blog to write to corporations asking for their support, as I need their belief and fiscal support to build the BRIT Centre. In all ways BRIT is a team effort.
We are living in a rapidly changing world, but some things are timeless and never go out of fashion. I’m talking about community and the responsibility we have as members of our local, regional, national and global communities. BRIT is doing things a little differently by partnering with charities and corporations. Whilst BRIT is innovative and visionary in our approach, we do believe that harnessing the community helps to make a difference in the lives of young people. Not everyone can build a centre or raise funds, but as part of the community we can each do our part to make the BRIT Centre a reality.
The BRIT community is about:
· Inspiring Young People facing Adversity
· Helping young people regain their self-belief
· Gifting support
· Pooling resources to aide more people
· Creating new opportunities not duplication
· Working with other charities, not against them
· Raising funds from corporations, not the public
· Using best practices and sharing ideas, efforts and research
As a member of the public, register your support online at www.britishinspirationtrust.org.uk , and introduce us to corporations that share our ethos and believe in supporting young people. Your support, as part of the BRIT community is vital. Corporations, you have the chance to not only help as part of your Corporate Social Responsibility, but to be a part of an incredible opportunity. Support BRIT and help us to open the Centre. Your financial contribution will positively impact the lives of thousands of young people. BRIT focuses on what we can do. We can and will build the BRIT Centre for our young people facing adversity. By joining BRIT you are joining a community of people that believe in the positive, work towards the best and will inspire a generation.
Please do your part for BRIT. I need you with me to make this a reality.
Yours,
Phil
