On a day the celebrates love & affection

On a day that celebrates love and affection between intimate companions, I turn to the why behind BRIT and the passion I have for what I aspire to achieve.  From a life that has given me the opportunity now to make a difference, I live a life where I love what I do and feel love and affection for the many friends and supporters who have surrounded me to build upon my aim and my intent.

What we have is an extraordinary vision that we continue to add to, amend and improve.  This improvement comes through the kindness, generosity, understanding and appreciation from knowledgeable, experienced and gifted experts who share our vision to make that difference; our BRIT Advisors.

To fulfil our dreams, we must believe those dreams can be achieved.  In order to deliver, we must believe that we can.  My dream is for every Inspirational Figure in the country to become a BRIT Mentor; to gift a day to be spent inspiring Young People facing Adversity; be that at our future Centre, or with charities, support groups or locations where we can enthuse those who face their dark times.

To make a significant difference; to deliver inspiration to Young People facing Adversity across the country, BRIT has to focus on the positive and needs to capture the hearts and minds of those we aspire to join us.  How we do this needs to be inspirational; we need to be a conduit and we need the strongest team possible.

So how to raise the £10million for the BRIT Centre of Inspirational Excellence without impacting on other charities or support groups?  The BRIT Centre will be a facility for charities to send Young People they identify as needing Inspiration to find that spark inside that will take them out of their dark times.  My aspiration is that the £10million is raised by asking philanthropists and large corporations to build this together.

I need to bring Banks, Hedge Fund Managers, Philanthropists and Businesses to the table and ask them to build a legacy together.  This is over and above their Corporate Social Responsibility plans; this is their opportunity to build a facility and a charity together; to have the opportunity to belong to BRIT and for BRIT to belong to them.

To bring them to the table, I am going to build a Table and take BRIT to them.  We have to be inspirational in all that we do.  The first invitation will be to the CEOs of the major banks and hedge funds; I aspire to bring them together and share our vision so they can be integral to building the BRIT Centre with us so we can invite other businesses and organisations to gift the equipment for the Centre.

Our BRIT Support Map will go live in just over a week.  The why behind this is to celebrate and champion the current support throughout Great Britain for Young People to find in one place.  Those who work for charities, support groups or provide opportunities, I am sure, like me, do this because they love their work; it is a vocation that they give their heart and soul to.  BRIT invites them to show what those opportunities they deliver are, and by doing so, give hope to Young People who can see they can achieve, they can be supported and they can take opportunities in places they never new existed.

How I believe that we can inspire those that need it the most, is if we deliver this together.  If I can bring organisations together and combine their strength and support to build a shared legacy through a shared vision, I believe we can make that impact across Great Britain that will improve the lives of others and we can deliver more and more.  As a charity that does not use the emotional messaging of facing Adversity, nor dwell on the negative, I need that time with each CEO and each philanthropist; if we aspire to build the BRIT Centre within 24 months, we are asking BRIT Mentors to gift 24 hrs, then I am asking for 24 minutes to introduce, explain and subsequently partner in some way with everyone I meet.  This is the challenge I am taking up today; live life, love life and love what you do.
